The past weekend was my last one of my spring break. My spring break was nothing short from fun. I met many new people, and even caught up with my elementary school friends (it was a 10 year reunion!). On the Friday, my friend and I went to New Westminister to grab a few drinks, but the weather was so beautiful, we just had to take advantage of it before settling at a bar.

Mid Week Eve (aka Tuesday)
Happy hour at The Flying Pig in Gastown starts at 4pm, which is perfect since my classes end right then. We had a few glasses of red wine, accompanied by delicious little appetizers.
beet+bresaola salad & beef carpaccio
pulled pork poutine & shortrib croquettes
Top, bottom, shoes, bag: China | Jacket: Topshop

Top: H&M | Jeans: Zara | Shoes: Zara | Jacket: Zara | Bag: Chapters
I haven't seen Cindy in a while. Although we keep in contact through all the message apps ever made, no conversation on a screen is as good as face to face. Especially over a glass or two of wine.
In our case, it was four.

Style Inspiration | Thigh/Knee High Boots
I had my eyes on these leather beauties since early autumn, and just about a month ago I finally decided to bring them home with me. The reason it took me so long to decide was mainly because they seemed so easy to ruin, considering the unpredictable (rainy) weather here in Vancouver. Also, I wasn't too sure what to wear with these boots. I knew they looked great on their own, but I needed some more convincing.
1. Atlantic - Pacific | 2. LovelyPepa | 3. Dulceida | 4. Lust for Life | 5. Kenzas | 6. Nadia Aboulhosn
I find that an outfit with tall boots, paired with any bottom that gives just a peak of your thighs, are incredibly charming. The pictures above are my favourite outfits depicting the perfect combination of the "sexy, yet sophisticated" look.

Sometimes I'm Productive
The one place I can effortlessly find myself to harmonize my creativity with productivity is when I am sitting in a cafe in the city. There aren't any good cafes in my neighbourhood, other than the local Starbucks across my house, but the atmosphere just isn't the same.
A little OOTD, because why not.
It takes me about an hour to transit to downtown, but I don't mind it. I actually enjoy the process of getting to Vancouver in the mornings.
Once a week I like to dedicate a few hours to organize my thoughts, go over my goals, and allow myself to take my time to get things done. The overlap of conversations, faint music, and the smell of espresso create the ideal environment for originality.

At times, I can't help but to eavesdrop on a few conversations nearby. To be honest, I sometimes like to listen in on purpose, especially when I'm brainstorming for an assignment, or stuck on an idea. Some discussions are strongly opinionated, and some are on topics I've never even heard of - but that's the beauty of inspiration, isn't it?
