OOTD: Waiting Around

I arrived in Gastown around 9:45am for an interview at a cafe, and I had another interview scheduled in the same area but around 3:30pm. So I had this huge 5hours-ish gap in between to waste some time. Since it's summer and all, I strolled around Gastown for a while, enjoyed the weather while it wasn't scorching hot, and then I finally settled inside a Starbucks.

Luckily, I wasn't alone for long. My friend had a meeting at 8:30pm but she kindly came to the city hours earlier just to hang out with me! She's super cute and quirky + she has an amazing blog she's been working on for years, so check her out @ soyconfessions

Lights on Friday Night

Last night a bunch of us decided to ditch the Friday night life in the city, and instead went over to Wreck Beach to chill by a bonfire. We managed to climb down the notorious steps and settle in our spot just as the sun was setting. There's just something about a summer sunset over a body of water that instantly puts me in my best mood. I'm sure everyone can relate to this.

Munched on some Doritos and mini marshmallows + a few drinks.
It's the weekend after all ;)
The struggle climbing up these steps in the pitch dark was real.

Lauren and I missed our bus and train back home, so we ended our night at our friend's house. We were all so exhausted from the hike, but nothing a little music can't fix.

Cheers to a great weekend!

Beach Loyalty

[First + Late Post] During the day my friends and I went down to English Bay to get together and relax before Lidia's Montreal trip. The weather was supposedly 28 deg. (celsius), but the sun was definitely burning above 35 deg. Or at least it felt like it.

I got hungry on our way to the beach so we stopped by a Jugo Juice and we ordered their Kale Abunga. The Kale Abunga contains kale (obviously), cauliflower, spinach, peaches, mango, apple juice, and tropical juice. I've been insanely addicted to Jugo Juice lately. I've had one everyday for the past week, and even twice on some days. Sorry Starbucks, I've moved on.

In the evening my boyfriend and I went for a short stroll at the White Rock Beach/Pier. We originally went there to see the sunset, but when we arrived we found out we were on the wrong side... BUT the weather was perfect, and the skies were absolutely breathtaking anyway. These pictures don't do it justice.

These last two pictures reminded me of the beginning scenes from The Notebook. Don't ya think?
